I'm getting my first 1/5 I was thinking about about a mt or xt but then I found a used dune runner for 500 I was wonderif that was a good deal and if there's anything I should look for before I get it

If you could actually put your hands on it; pull the air filter and make sure the throat of the carb is clean, obvious physical damage, engine compression..at least how much resistance at the pull start..

Used is always subjective and risky 8)

If it is in like new condition I would say yes. If it is neglected, then no way.

If you can look at the drive cups and dogbone pins you can get an idea of how much use it has had. These are wear items.

Also, if there is a lot of upgrades done, this can add some value.
