Need for speed

Ok so how can I get a little better speed on an mtxl without breaking the bank? Cheap easy upgrades or tuning any help would be great already looking into a tuned pipe or at least maybe making one

def a decent pipe...I gota samba on mine.....and a threshold airfilter......and I`ve gone up to a 16t pinion......but have not tested it as of yet....

Also put 300.000 in front and back diff and 500.000 in the middle. It will make it respond a lot faster. With 500k in the middle it can be a good idea with a metal cup if you do long runs. The original can melt and get distorted by heat and 500k is practically running it dry. So it gets hot from friction.

Im running 30-50-30k f/c/rear atm...but thk Ill need to go higher...like my 5ive..and 5b....

Ok that sounds like an easy enough trick what about a 2 speed transmission? Is there one to fit the mtxl?

2 speeds r...imo...only fit for road/speed runs?....there too weak for proper off road bashing and pointless imo?...esp in a big heavy thing like the mtxl?
And no there aint any what fit as far as I'm aware?

If your motor has the power, you can gear it up for speed or FID made/makes a 2 speed for the DBXL.. it MAY fit if you want to give that a try....but I agree w/evssv on this one.
