Yes I did win, however I can pay him for the cost of the auction, it wasn't like anyone else was going to buy it. I wasn't going to give him 6bills and let him keep it, no point. And I agree I should have done my homework before, but just from past experience, I made the mistake of assuming $600 wasn't much for a 1/5 scale (thinking a real one was at least $2,000) and I didn't expect them to be junk even though they are chinese. Once again another assumption, I have a go-ped with a chinese engine and its run good for years now, I figured these cars wtih a 2 stroke would be a simliar durable drivetrain.
Also I was going to buy it right away, however I made an offer and in the day it took to get it approved I did research instead of just waiting for it to come in the mail and learn my lesson, in which I wouldn't have known any better.
I was refering to the Baja on this website,
www.largescalerc.com <--that baja with the 30cc is a clone? Any recomendations for buying elsewhere?
Thanks for the credit, but no thanks. I'm not immature, I am hopped up on pain pills and wasn't thinking when I "made an offer." I've got a collar bone trying to push out of my skin and might not be making the best decisions as I lay on the couch waiting for the dr's to enjoy their holiday so they can cut me up tomorrow.
As far as ruining ebay, yes I am sure I single handedly did that with my bad bid decision. If you could some how support your claim that its "people like me" then I will gladly shutup. Its not like I sit on ebay all day buying crap I can't afford, I use it to shop and was going to buy the car, but did research after purchasing, and hey I didn't pay, why shaft myself for $600 when I don't need to. I'd consider this a cheap and lucky mistake that I did do and can easily get out of.
