hey I have got a fg marder not off rd had 23cc zenoah in it just brought a g270rc for it having trouble fitting it seems as if the engine mounts could be different ? Also the clutch on the 23cc sticks out further than the 27cc will clutch housing be ok thanks for any help guys appreciate it

The engines should not be any different, but if you see the clutch stick out further on one than the other, my guess would be that you need to change the clutch housing.

Pictures of this would be greatly helpful.

What does not off road mean? I have a G260rc on my Marder, fits fine. I think they both have the same case no?

The engine mounts on FG models are their own pieces separate from the engine it's self.

6134/1 & 6135 are the engine mounts. They do require a special modified Clutch case too from what I remember.

but the 23cc should have had it, no? Just use that one. I stripped one of the bolt holes on my clutch housing a few months back bought the wrong one at first and couldn't fit the engine mounts. That's def your issue either buy a new one or I would think the one off the 23cc will fit.

I would sure like to see picyures of what you are seeing.
Not sure who told you that the mounts are different, but the 2 engines themselves are identical.
I used to put all kinds of things in FG models from 28.5 cc Zenoah's and CY models, to 30.5 cc of bothe engine types.
Even put a few TS reed case engines in them too, and they should all fit by using parts from the engine currently installed.
You might have to change clutch housings, and move the engine mounts over to the new engine, but that would be all that needs to be done.

Snap a few pics. or hit some one up to help you get some pics. of what your seeing on here for us.
Hard to help in certain situations without the visual of what is actually different.

I guess it is possible that you have one of the VERY early Zenoah engines that are a bit different.
In that case the clutch case already posted, and the engine mounts from my post will get you sorted out.
FG had some Early Zenoah engines, and back in those days they also used Solo engines too.
Both not compatable with the newer stuff.

cheers for your help looker very much appreciated found out that fg have upgraded there chasis I Av an old one and the mount on the pullstart side of the engine is totally different to wat I had so got new mount and new chasis on its way another £60 later she should be all GD by nxt week are you in the UK mate or us
