Hi all. I tried to upgrade my hobbypro 23cc engine to a 26cc zenoah that I got with it along with a box of spares.

I completely failed to get it to even fire after following every bit of advice I can find and gave up and refitted the original 23cc engine, but now I cannot get that one to fire either.

Does anybody on here know of someone or somewhere in the Aylesbury area that I can take it too to look at it to see what I am doing wrong

I am almost on the verge of having to sell my pride and joy and go back to nitro cars.

Before I had the stupid idea of trying to fit the better engine it used to start on the first pull every time :-(

you haven't just made silly mistake mate have you.....flooding is one of the most common problems...
 
How far is Aylesbury from essex? if it's not that far you could bring it along over the weekend and we'll have a praddle at it for you.

I just tried some fresh fuel, no joy, left the other carb to soak in petrol over night to see if that helps, The guy at ripmax told me that it could be cause I'm using b&q 2 stroke oil.

gonna take it down to crystal palace at the weekend cause there's loads of 5th scale people there apparently. If I don't go there I might give you a call, nice one.
 
He's alive again! I thoroughly stripped and cleaned the spare carb I had and switched from b&q oil to racing venom, that seemed to do the trick. gonna have to tune again from scratch now.

Off for a burn at last :-)
