Ok, so I got everything put together, new bumper, new diff cup, new dogbone, new air filter, new fuel lines and new radio.
Filled the tank up about half way and it would not fill the carb bulb. I took off the gas cap and could see bubbles when I depressed the bulb so I know it was connected. Filled it all the way and it filled it up. Why did this happen? I ran it half full from the start before. Do I possibly have a leak somewhere? Maybe return line is too far into the tank?
So after I got fuel, closed the choke and pulled the starter twice, opened it and pulled 2 more times, it fired then died. Pulled it about 2" more times, took a break. Closed the choke then pulled 2 more times, opened it and after 5 pulls it fired. Don't know what happened there either.
High needle is 1 1/2 out. Low is 1 1/4 out. It bigs when I give it throttle. Turned low in at 1/16 increments and is still bogging. I don't want to go too lean. But after it gets past bogging it races, then bogs again to where the wheels stop.
How lean is too lean for these engines? I know each vehicle is different t, but ballpark, where should these needles end up?
Just item 1,436 on today's issue list. Please help????
