hi, i was out using my rampage today and everything was going fine, and i brought it back to take a break, and flipped it on its side and felt something hit my feet, it was one of the deck spacers. I lost the other spacer and both screws.

this is the link to the part...http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/Redcat-Parts/50022

i just need to know if theres a way to find out the size of the screw so i can go pick up some at a hardware store to hold me off till i order the actual parts. Im looking in the manual but it doesn't show the size of the screws, if anyone knows, that would be great!, thanks!

take the remaining screw out and measure it. if you don't have a caliper, a metric ruler will do. doesn't have to be the exact same length, just width... or better yet, take the screw to your hardware or fastener supply and say I need this LOL

thanks! i actually found 2 screws in my basement that worked out lol, and i put some lock tight on there just to be safe, they were very tight so i don't get how they BOTH popped out.

so i took the beast out again, and after about 5 minutes, both screws and spacers gone again!! lol, even with locktight!, this is nuts!

Don't understand why, i have a hard time taking mine out with a wrench. so try again with more loctite but let it set for 30 to 90 min like loctite says we should (normally not needed) and see if that helps if not then take the shroud off and clean the threads with some alcohol and the bolts then put the loctite in the holes then put it back together and and let it sit for awhile and that should work hopefully.

you need to clean the threads i use elec contact cleaner to remove any oil or dirt and spray the bolts also let things dry and redo :D

i went to canadian tire today to get some new screws, the closest thing they had to 5-25 was 10-24, 1" long, i popped them in and they fit well, but they arent those black screws, they are kind of a goldish color and they have the wrong shape of head on them, so ill have to get the right ones on payday!

Thread cleaned of the bad information.

For the #10-24, you just re-threaded your hole to the wrong size. Now the correct screw will never work as well.
