I have a MCD Ultimate M/T and those of you who don't know the Ultimate is a full aluminum truck so very heavy and I am looking for a new motor something with a lot of torque , what do you guys think would be the Ultimate engine .

id like to see what ian oddie would/could do with a bzm his ecu and nos i don't see there being much more needed,,,ive just fitted a oddified 29cc zen +1mm stroker crank running a wt 990 carb and tps red race v2 ignition kit plus a oddified clutch and mk2 ecu that works for me @6-7hp and it pulls like a train

i have 2 ultimates, and its not all about top end speed with the 4 wheel drives

but torque:D oddie does a good tune for the mcd but i have stevo's evo

engines from ross mods

I am from Canada and have also been looking at Oddified products . I currently have a Trevor Simpson reed engine in my FG M/T that a purchased 2 years ago and it is a crazy motor but looking for something more .
 
if its a full ts you have then you must be looking at something powerful . as mentioned above, you want the torque for the 4wd( inc |pipe option), ive seen 4wd getting good top speeds but plenty of torque to break the 4wd traction is fun.
my mate has a mcd rr, it isnt that powerful so gets a little boring after a while,it wont even break traction properly.
maybe you should be looking at a tuned 29.5cc or 30.5cc.
i don't really know exactly which engine for you to get because i don't know which offer low down grunt , better then the next one but there are a few places that do a torque tune version of existing tuned motors they sell.
i have a 2wd buggy, i use between a 26cc to 28.5cc range,in the middle somewhere.

check youtube to see what motors are going well in the losi's , mcd mt, fg mt4wd, maverick blackouts etc.
 
a full mod ts combined with modified 257 carb and the vrc pro pipe is something that will do the work...see mine at 23kg

Thanks for the help guys , I did some research and there are a few I really like but some won't work with MCD M/t like the evil twin or the 62cc Skopod but the engine I would definitely get without any hesitation is the Pro Mx 50 just not sure when it will be available . I was also looking at the Fusion motor as it makes a lot of torque just don't know much about it but I did leave a message with Chris Bartalone and will wait to see what he suggests and will also get in contact with Oddified heard really good things about his engines so will wait and see what will work best thanks again for help .
