I have been out of the game for something like 5 plus years. Now looking to get back into the RC world again. I have an Savage.21 with quite a few hop ups. It has been run only once in 5 years. So I have fallen off the pace and need some help.

After seeing these 1/5 and 1/6 scales these are the ones to get into. I want to trade in what I have for one of these, as soon as possible.

What I am looking for is some comparision of these trucks and spec and where can I see any of them.

I live in the Twin City metro area in Minnesota. I am having trouble finding places and people that can help me. I know some hobby places carry these truck buy haven't been a big help, at least for me.

I guess with the $$$ involved I would alittle more info than I got on my savage.

I know this is a FG site and thread but what are comparions with the FG and MCD? I like the look of the FG and know very little about the MCD.

Any info will help.

Thank you for you help.

I think very simply the answer is BOTH ARE GREAT.
I'm in UK, so I don't know what the availability of parts is like for you over there.
A lot of US guys seem to go for Recats.
I personally have a FG MT and love it, and have only just stopped buying bits for it, which is THE OTHER PROBLEM.
The basic truck you'll purchase - if new - is sold, designed by people who know how to make a solid truck, BUT, .... you'll end up doubling or tripling the price in 'hopups', unless you find a good-used one on Ebay, with half of the work done. ... $$$$$
If you're married, it's like a second wife, if not, it's like getting married !! :clown::clown:

Pm sent.:)

I would stick with a Rampage, FGMT, or HPI Baja or 5T. These will be the best overall supported models.
You have MMR and DDM both are FG distributors.
Most Hobby stores will have the HPI in stock. I would check with MMR to see who has the FG in stock. There store is in Golden Valley but call ahead for hours.
