Need some XT project advise.

I am seriously considering doing some major mods to my XT, as in making it bigger. But I was wondering if the drivetrain can take bigger wheels and tires? And has anyone done any chassis stretching? Any ideas to how wild I should and could go with the XT? Just looking for ideas.

The current tire size is about all the drivetrain can handle.

7075RC is working on a streched chassis for the X-series platform.

Wasn't designed to handle bigger tires/wheels. If you want something bigger, the MT is a beast.

More and more it seems like I should sell the XT and start over with a MT or a baja 5t.

If you can keep it I would . The X series are nice and light. It easy to make them screaming fast. Just add another platform to the collection.

The 5t wheels aren't any larger then the XTs.

What are you looking to do with the larger tires. Most guys go smaller to gain performance.

I have an MT and a 5T. You can't go wrong with either vehicle.
