I have a major brake problem..... Well I have a brand new Losi 5Ive and I was driving it around for break in and it seemed to be a little slower than I thought it should be, even at half throttle... Well turns out the damn Brake cams on both sides in 15 minutes had made a slight indention/groove on the back of the Brake pads.... When they are engaged, the cams get stuck in that little groove on the back of the pads and will not release and are in FULL Brake mod.... I had no idea they were sticking and the rotors are warped and everything got so hot the Diff tower did something weird also.. The cams no longer move smoothly either after this. Like the tower plastic got too hot... I even tried flipping the Pads around to a side that was smooth and it made the same damn groove in the pad and now they stick again.... I have tried new springs, polishing the cams, dry lube, etc and nothing works.... How do I resolve this issue

Thanks guys

Sounds like a factory assembly issue. Almost as if the brake cams were turned 90 degrees from where they should rest at neutral, couple that with an improper rotor clearance adjustment, I could see a Losi made problem. You would do best to compile the list of replacement parts and send pics. to Horizon. This could run into the 100's..........If that doesn't sound appetizing, consider Rovan LT305 parts at a discount. I believe King motors has a model coming to market soon too....Unfortunately mine did not have the problem, so I can't say for sure.

What's wrong is they did not put the two bolts that hold the pads on to the diff housing in far enough and the brake cams turned in to far and stuck with nothing to push it back
Free it up and tighten 4 bolts that hold pads on in till the cams don't go as far to put breaks on or about 1/8 inch in on all of them
