Why not just use loc-tite and "feel" the screw/bolt when you are tightening it? I appreciate the tool with 1/1 cars, but I don't see a real use for it with r/c cars.

? Not really, I rebuilt my stocker with head kit and crank...no torque wrench.

(And I even own an old fashion bar type 1/4" drive that measures in/lbs)

Put few gallons on it and never an issue.

Torque wrench is nice but cost vs times you use it, and benefit on these engines its entirely unnecessary.
