Im looking for ideas on negative offset rims in 23mm flavor.

I just mounted up a new set of Rovan King motor Pioneer tires with 7075 adapters on my XB-e with a SC body. They passable, but a stick out a little wider than Id prefer. I would like to get some new rims with a greater negative offset, but pulling a blank other than the HPI outlaws.

The current rims are 63mm wide, with 47mm to the hex face from the backside. Does this mean they are ~+15mm offset?

I need 10-15mm to make everything clear with minimal rubbing in the rear.

If I went with the -4 offset outlaws, does that means the tire would be tucked under the fender ~19mm more than it is now? How about proline 5t wheels?

The narrowest you will find for the Baja wheels is to run all fronts. The 5b, 5t, & 5sc fronts are all the same size. With the 7075RC adapters they will tuck under all of the SC bodies.

offset is +/- from CENTERLINE of the wheel(rim) to mounting point. not sure RC models follow that tech detail for product description. prolly gonna be brand knowledge tendencies like RCDAD is relating. not much difference within a brand but between brands maybe some but will follow scale usually. sounds like you want to make custom rims

Most wheels are purpose built for a specific platform, like the Baja, Losi, MCD ect. So they don't normally list offset specs. Companies make different size adapters to push the wheels farther out.

I got them to tuck up under the body with some additional camber. But I'm still curious to find a pair with negative offset that may have better clearance.

Before my next set, a trip the local hobby shop for some measurements will be in order.

On my quest I recently stumbled on dgi's 3inch offset adapters for the baja

The Trenchers are a big tire. A smaller set of fronts all around would tuck. The problem with moving the rim in is it will hit the turnbuckles. Stick with all 5b fronts (wheels and tires) and they will tuck under that body.

I knew the 5b would, but I wanted the extra ground clearance without jacking the suspension up.

These should work, they just look a comical being so large and tucking under a fender.

Ill be wiring up some new lipos for some quick tests and jumps tomorrow. Ill find out then if the rubbing is too bad.
