Here is my DR with extended axle adapters ( thanks RCDAD ) & Baja sand paddles ready for a test at the beach. It also has the offset woodruff key & a Baja rear tuned pipe. Finally got it all swapped over to the DR long chassis. It's the right length now. The body is just a wee bit short at the front.

yeah it looks better than the blue, but now it to short. lol.

Unsuccessful trip to the beach, started it & BAM throttle servo burns out. Lucky i had my had on it, it went full throttle in the car park.

Swapped that ,no biggy. Then while running it on the sand it looked & sounded a bit off. I kept going until it finally died.

The head came loose. no biggy i'll just retighten it.

The pull starter jammed. I'm done. lol

Came home, fixed everything.

To late to go back.

Yesterday it was screaming, in the dirt. Today was a fail.

All good though, i got to work on them some more. :D

I'll try out the sand paddles another day.

Nice mods there. Why did you go with the older longer chassis? What Is the advantage of it?
It's 50mm ( 2 inch ) longer. I like the look better mostly. It is less prone to spin out when flying around corners.

Plus it jumps better. better weight distribution. The short chassis jumps like a MT , nose heavy.
