i just put a new clutch and engine in my baja and now when i give it gas it will not move unless it is at almost full throttle. i did notice when i put the clutch bolts in they seemed kind of tight in the holes in the clutch were the clutch pivots to open. could this be my problem and or if how do i fix it?

The shoes should swing freely on the bolts or maybe you have a 9000rpm clutch spring installed and now you need to rev it harder for it to engage

did you use the washers when you put the bolts thru? and +1 on higher rpm spring, is it a different color than the spring on the other clutch?

yes i put the silver washers behind the clutch and the thin washer in the front. it is a 8000 rpm clutch that i bought and its red like the other one that was on my old engine.

Free up where its binding on the bolts and then give it another try.
You have to eliminate one problem at a time before you can catch the problem

i broke one of the old bolts off in the old engine that is what caused this whole problem. maybe i just have bad luck.:o

the clutch has loosened up alot by just driving it around. i think it is good now. thanks for all of your help.
