Yeah cant beat the 5ive platform for strength and reliability thats for sure

Much better/stronger parts and assembled with care from the factory. My recently purchased dibby v2 gasser was slapped together by monkey's on a Friday afternoon in comparison

Went with an XLX2 and the 1100KV motor bundled with it. Saw some video's, looked like it was ripping pretty good. Got it in and has allot more power than that stock 780kv. Also runs allot cooler, going full throttle across my super tall grass and it only hit 130 degrees. I might go up a few teeth on the pinion if it runs that cool. If I get the itch for a bigger motor I might look into one of those leopard motors or a TP in the 58mm size. So far first run this was great though.

I am having a weird issue though where I can't calibrate the XLX2. I hold the trigger and get through the throttle calibration portion and then it blinks red and beeps but I hold brake and it just keeps flashing red and beeping. Tried rebinding but that didn't help. Never had that happen with my other castle ESC's

How did you run it if the ESC can't be calibrated
It didn't even go into calibration mode at first. it just started up and off she went. Then I remembered I should calibrate it so I did the manual hold the trigger thing which worked until I got to full brake and it just wouldn't register full brake. I got it though by disabling AVC on the receiver itself.

Been trying to do some speed runs across grass. I cannot for the life of me keep the front end down once I go above 80% throttle. Best I've been able to hit is 58mph. Trying to get to 70mph if I can just to say I did it. got the DDM springs, 60wt in back shocks and 70wt in the front. max preload on the rear and zero on the front. It does pretty good up until about 50-60% throttle then those front tires lift and start ballooning and after 80% it just won't come back down. I was waiting for these tires to wear down some before I replace them but maybe better belted tires would help. I've got the rear shocks in the tallest position, I can try laying the fronts down to help lower it maybe?

Your still sending too much power up front. Get a locker, or try silicon ear plugs in the center diff. Silly putty works as well. Whatever is easier to find.
I might try getting a spool or locker for it and try that. I like the wheelies but not when I'm trying to speed run lol. I'm also going to try laying the front shocks down to see if that helps. I also have a 48t spur gear coming. Gearing up just a hair more might help lowering torque I hope. Temps are good, I barely hit 120 after 5 speed runs.

You should be able to control your throttle curve with the transmitter or programming the esc. Try to smooth out the power transmission.

I think it's just linear right now afaik and I pull very very slowly trying to build up speed so it doesn't wheelie. It's lifting just enough under 70-80% power that the front wheels leave the ground and balloon up. Almost needs more front weight or front downforce.

I found the droop screws and was able to adjust them a little bit to get the front to drop a little bit more but still have good ground clearance at full shock deflection. I rebuilt the center diff with the 48t spur and now when I get going at higher speed you can hear a weird sound. It's not grinding or anything and I've checked and everything spins freely. Maybe a bad bearing somewhere?

Just gonna have to get some new tires for it, these things balloon way too much and I think that's the problem. It doesn't lift anywhere near as bad now that I adjusted droop but the ballooning is causing it to loose traction I think.
