Either an Oddie or Stevo engine would do fine and you would still have change for a few extras!

100% oddie mate you will have enough change for a oddie clutch and maybe a ecu trust me it don't get much better plus its reliable and race proven,,mines a 29.5cc running a +1mm crank oddie lightened flywheel wt990 @6.6hp plus oddie clutch and ecu and im well happy it goes real good more power than I need and again its a heavy all alloy beetle over 12kg

ian can be hard to get hold of hes a busy boy,,,last week I contacted him and after a day or so he replyed and I ordered some disc's/pads and they were here in no time great service

+10 for Oddified, Ian is a star
he will get a hold of you, might take an email or 2 or leave a message on his phone, as said he's busy busy.
i just got my oddified 1994 tone servo repaired, cost me next to nothing and he got it back to me in Canada in one day by fedex as i need it for this coming weekend, my total bill was only 80 bucks...you can't get better service!

good choice mate this may help you make your mind up for sure,a good year on its not had 1 issue or fails to impress and its just getting faster and faster every tank full

its different now dwarfy its run in and geared up with no red race kit and its still a handful and great fun I haven't even used the ecu on it for a while its just not needed

only gone up 1 mate was stock marder setup 18/46 but running 20/44 now its not that different but the gears and where the rear tyres are getting worn its calmed the wheelies down plus no red race or ecu makes a big difference

Sounds like you got it well sorted now mate. Ive gone with 20/44 but the gearing is slightly different on the 4wd with the layshaft being 14T. Should still be ok though.
