New Engine??

I've been 'looking ahead' for when the inevitable happens, and my ignorance means I knacker the engine somehow!
According to www.pitstop-shop.nl there's a new Zenoah G290RC 2010 4-bolt out / coming out.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Has it been breathed on yet?

Yes, they have been talked about on the HBF and here. I don't know anyone yet the has run them here. I wish they had a 2 bolt then most of us would know about them. I would personally have no problem running it.

a few guys are running this topend in various forms now, and its just a topend, no full motors yet.

but some guys are running the as stock 28.5 and 30.5s so far that ive seen, plus a few people are running ported versions now too. so far, all reports are A1 topnotch Joe. lol

may put a 29.5 version together in basically stock form as a track motor.

Unless I'm mistaken, RC Pitstop (www.pitstop-shop.nl) state that this is NOT a modified engine, but a BRAND NEW ZENOAH, exclusive ONLY to them, so far.
By my reckoning, it's different to the ones you're indicating - no offence.

From what I understand is they are not an off the shelf item.........but built to order.

Their very last sentence states that.

"This engine will be build and adjusted specially for you when ordered, delivery time is 2-3 days."

ya, they are likely popping tops on G240s and installing the 36m topend and chargeing accordingly.
