Hey Guys,

For My FG MT, I just ordered Doug's new ESP fully modified/fully ported GP290head kit. Should I use the used 2mm stuffed crank or buy just the standard 2mm crank? This motor is going to be ran with the Dom High End Pipe and the Walbro 813 carb with an 8,000rpm clutch and stock tires.

I would guess about 5.5-6HP with my add on's? Anything else that I may be forgeting?

Can anyone tell me a little about this motor, Like how many CC's it is? I know it should have better plating than the other CY motors.

Thanks, Hills

28.9cc is the bore. Roughly 29cc. With all that ESP does it will be a great motor with that pipe. I'm not a fan of the stuffed due to horror stories but mostly RPM loss. I would stick with the 2mm stroker.

Nice upgrade, cant wait to hear your thoughts.:D

Hey guys, just got my new ESP race ported GP290 installed in my FG MT with my Dom Pipe and the Walbro 813 carb. All I can say is this sucker is LOUD!!! The Power this motor has compared to my last 30.5cc is night and day. Doug at Esp really made this motor scream with a 2mm crank.

I took it easy on the first tank, shutting it down 4 times for my heat cycles. I mixed my Ams Oil 20:1 and super plus 94 octane, ran it rich with my high speed needle two full turns out for lots of lube.

I already know it going to be hard to hook up with all that power so im going to gear up to maybe a 18/46 or a 20/44 gears. 5' rooster tails off the line is pretty cool though.

I want to post the pictures I took today, but im not good with the whole computer thing. Could someone explain to me how i would do that in a way that I might understand? Thanks, Hills
