Just a quick tip on those new heads or port jobs.
You should make sure all the burs have been removed on the intake and exhaust ports, head areas and anything that has been worked. I have bought both new heads and ported heads to find quite a bit of small bits left behind from manufacturing and porting. These little buggers are the small scratches you will find in a new mill but would never know it until tear down.
Here are a few photos of a recent build that was cleaned before install.

If you look closely you will see the bur line on the tip of the fin.

Saw your post in the Rampage thread. Good timing on this, I just looked at mine, ran my finger through it and came up with quite a few shavings. I'm going to clean it really well this weekend before I put it all back together.

I would rather leave that one alone.;) But I can tell you I have found the same issues on stock heads at the intake and exhaust ports too..

If i paid somebody to do a port job and it came back like that I would cram it up his #ss and publicly flame the #### out of his %%%% work!

I can understand what you mean but, this can also be found on stock manufactured heads as well. Just a good idea to keep an eye out for when your new head arrives.;)

True, but it wasn't "Gone Through" and modified from the factory as the ported one was. I understand your point and it's valid, but I sure would be pissed!
