I just purchased the Hostile one piece hubs last week to get rid of those sloppy stock plastic things.

Nice quality! If anyone ends up getting these babies, you'll love them. I ran into 2 little hiccups:

1) My fault, I didn't install the bearings per the instructions. Heat your oven to 200 degrees, put the hubs in there for about 15 minutes. At the same time, put your bearings in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Pull the hubs out and the bearings pretty much drop into place.

2) If you have the rear Vertigo axle extenders like I do, you may have trouble getting the pin into the axle. To remedy this, and I hated to do it, I had to grind down the back of the extenders so the axle pin would drop in. The raised parts on the back kept pushing too hard into the bearing so grinding was the only option other than changing out to some other brand of extenders. Ground the back down until it was flat and I had no problem with the axle pin dropping into the axle and everything spinning like it should.

No slop anywhere after the install. I also hope to get these to replace the plastic ball ends:

I haven't had an opportunity to run them yet, but as soon as the rain stops today, I hope to get out and give them a try.

i have a set of these and they Fricking ROCK da house.

i too use the Vert rear extenders, but i ddint have a problem. it was tight, but i was able to just push the extender on a bit while holding the drive cup inplace on the other side, and got my cross pins right on.

the hugs are just killer thogh. i have the 2* and want to get a set of 3* for alot of corners, and a set of the Zeros for the sand rig.

When I put one side on before I had done any grinding, the axle would barely move. I even used a rubber mallet to tap everything to make sure the bearings weren't off slightly. Figured I'd just grind the back down a slight bit to get them in place. I should have just sent the damn things to you for the install! :)

I'm going to get the 3 degree eventually as well. They are very nice. Hostile makes great stuff!

silly question its says The buggies like 4 degrees. my question is which part is 4 degrees?

The toe in is 4 degrees. The bearings are bored out at a specific angle so the need for any of the stock plastic degree specific shims aren't needed. Of course, this is a set angle and to change it you would need a second set of hubs.
