New KM arriving Monday, Nylon Version, This ??? has probably been asked 1000 times. Any suggestions on upgrades right off the bat.:w00t:

I am going to dis-assemble the entire thing when i get it and re assemble. Dying all Parts and making sure all nuts and bolts have loctite Etc.

Thaks for the info, I guess i will find out over time,Not gonna rush things.

Take care you don't stuff the screws, or your tools.
Good luck with the rebuild.
In the right place, Loctite is great, and necessary.

Get photos up when you can.

If you've not done it before, there are several threads on people dying plastic and nylon parts - may help you.

You Know, i got some RIT and it says add 1 cup of Vinegar for Nylon. Do you think that is just for clothing material or could it be for anything Nylon???

RIT's the right stuff.
Some have mentioned adding a pinch of salt.
The important thing is:
Get it nice and hot.
Consider WHERE you're heating and splashing with PERMANENT DYE - in reading the other posts, it's not called permanent for nothing!!
Use the same solution and carefully measure the time.
Take care how the parts are suspended, and move around if possible.

From what I've read, that's about it, other than wash off with clean water afterwards.
I was going to dye some wheels orange 2 years ago ..... then ended up buying some alloy wheels and getting them powder coated, but that's another story !!

Good luck, and get the photos up when you can.

Before you start, unless you really have done this and I'm preaching to Granny (!!!!), please wait and see if any other comments on this thread will help you.

Yes that is a good deal and the radio that comes with it is sweet also you can run up to 10 cars on the same radio so get some good rechargeable batteries and a good charger and you can charge the batteries in the radio and recharge your receiver batteries.
