Took these the other day a few days after picking it up and painting the body. The sticker set on these things is so good all you do is spray the whole underside without having to mess with window masks etc. Just wanted a nice bright orange. My sons favourite colour. The next day I started to run it in with the body on and bubbled the body with the exhaust.

Hope you like it.........:D

It is clean but will not be getting dirty until the pull start cover arrives. Got to be honest though and I was the same over my Baja SS I bashed hard but got anal over cleaning it after. Used to break it down and clean it after every run. But thanks for the great replies.

Heres some pics of my former Baja SS.......

Thanks man I sold the Baja to Miniripper at MMR wish i'd kept it now great fun but I got sick of the front shock issues on hard landings and constant leaking from them.

Got a couple of nitro's a few heli's and a Kyosho boat.

Looking into going to a few race meets with the MCD though. Tonight I have been wrapping the exhaust in Titanium wrap and putting reflective matting in areas that get close to the exhaust, so should be good for Sunday if I can get to the meet in Deeside. Might need some help leaning out the top end

Thanks mate although I sold the Baja to Miniripper at MMR. I had issues with the front shocks bending on hard landings and constant leaking plus I kept blowing the head gasket on the 2 bolt headed Fuelie.

Been wrapping the exhaust with Titanium wrap and coating the area of body and car that get close to the exhaust. Looking at taking in a few race meets and getting Stevo to race port the engine, recons he gets 6hp from a 28.5 cc with the Samba pipe, £200 all in. Worth a look.

what made you ditch the baja mate, looks sweet.

Thanks mate, yes it looked great and ran well but in 12 months I blew 3 head gaskets and was constantly buying replacement parts for the suspension either I was bending the front shock shafts or replacing seals due to leaking. I felt the shocks were too long and this was the issue for them being quite fragile. Loved the car though. Never know I may have issues with the MCD but version 4 should have got any issues ironed out.

ah right yeah very true, lets hope you have no trouble with this one.

is that stevo from rossendale models? that does the tuned engine kits?

Thats right, I bought the model off Rich the shop owner but fell short on cash to get the mod done on the engine. Both Rich and Stevo run the mod and apparently with the Samba pipe it rips. Selling one of my Heli's on another forum to release some cash.

is that the very latest V4 you got with the bigger shocks and the modded

drive shafts:) or the original new model V4

K....
It's the very latest..... Rossendale sell more MCD than any other shop in the UK he has a warehouse full of them. It has the larger shocks and uprated drive shafts. Why do you ask? I did look at the V3 but it's a fair bit smaller in most areas shocks and drive shafts included good prices though!

I wanted to put the shock covers on and Rossendale did not know if any fitted in fact they are trialling a few sets, so I went to Uber and asked them but they too were unsure so I bought a set of the biggest ones they do and they just fit. Just wrapped the exhaust last night the Titanium wrap looks like carbon weave just needs running for 30 mins to cure it., then it's tuning time.

i only live 20mins from ross mods and do pop into the warehouse just

up the road from the shop to chin wag with Bob :lol:

was only asking as there are not very many of the latest spec V4's

around as they only started selling them a couple weeks back....

quite a few of the original ones sold though even with the brittle back wings

dodgy shocks and a to large a dia drive shafts ..........

I saw Bob down there when I picked it up on the 11 August (one week ago today). I was told by Bob and Rich mine was the very latest one. Must say not heard of the brittle rear wing issue but the one on mine seems very flexible as do the mounts. Just need to get into running and tuning now.

Have you seen Rich/Stevo's MCD's running..... just want to know how good the Evo engine is?

I bought one of the first batch of V4s that came into the UK and despite my best efforts I haven't broken anything yet....my V4 is basically stock, no alloy upgrades or limited-slip diffs.

It has been bashed at both the local motocross track and largescale off road track and without question it is the most reliable/robust RC car I have ever owned. It is more like a scaled up 1/8th nitro buggy than a typical largescale car.

If you use the excellent Samba Four Power Ultimate pipe make sure you use heat shield tape on the underside of the bodyshell and on the corner of the fuel tank. I'm currently testing a Victory RC Pro pipe in my V4, it produces more power/torque than the Samba pipe but the Samba pipe is a better alround pipe, the Pro pipe doesn't work on stock engines.

Make sure you vent the bodyshell, drill holes in the front window and cut out most of the side windows, if you don't the engine will run on the hot side!!!!

Thanks DGAV407, yes I am using the Samba pipe you mention and yes I have already burnt the body. I have just coated the tank and round the inside of the shell but I have also used a Titanium exhaust wrap that will take 30 mins to cure by starting the motor and letting it warm up. I will cut some holes in the front etc. Cheers. Nice car by the way.
