I bought the 320rc Zenoah on 5th tank was running down road at about 3/4 throttle or slightly higher but not wide open was screaming down road then died and wont restart tried new spark plug its getting spark its getting gas in cylinder and kill switch isn't engaged and still wont start up had no problem starting truck before this happened any ideas what could be wrong? think it would be covered under a warranty? do you think the motor blew?

I had a motor once that acted pretty much the same as yours. had spark and compression and seamed to be getting fuel. it had me stumped. turned out when I finally took it apart that the little retaining clip that holds the pin though the piston had come loose and scored the walls of the jug. not enough to kill the compression as to be noticeable without a gauge but enough to keep it from starting. hope your problem is simpler but if not time to get a ported head kit slap it on there and off you go. good luck!

How does the compression feel? Strong? Weak? How's the cylinder gasket?Take a look down the exhaust port and check the piston for scoring.
took off exhaust and looked at piston it is scored up near top1/4 ways down piston ? what would cause this its brand new motor just got done breaking it in and this happened ? do you think there is a warranty for it or am I pretty much screwed? there isn't even 8 hours on motor its running rich on low speed and high speed is set at stock

How bad is the piston? Light scuffing, or deep gouges? Light scuffing is common, but if it has deep gouges, something got into the cylinder. As far as I know you can't really warranty that. Do a compression test before you buy anything, though. Put a few drops of oil down the plug hole and try to start it. If it fires and runs for a few seconds, then dies, you have compression issues.

well I took the head off ring was still on piston but there is a big gouge in the sleeve right under the exhaust port . there was nothing in cylinder when I pulled it apart . found out it was a lean seizure reason being the carb stock setting is different then stock engine . the 320rc Zenoah motor is 1 7/8 for high speed and 1 3/8 for low, there is no warranty but ddm being as good as they are said I would get 50% off all parts to fix it so going to order parts but I am going to buy another 320rc so after other is put back together when friend gets the chance to do it ( I don't have the right tools or can do a squish test ) I may have a motor for sale
