Ok, so I really have to thank you guys for all the advice and help you have offered here. Wether you have given it to me directly or I have read old posts for help with issues- you guys will forget more about these things than I could ever hope to learn.
I dropped a few hundred for different parts a couple of weeks ago- and so far 2 boxes showed up. So my DR now has a killer bee switch (which is amazing), an X Can exhaust, and a FLYSKY controller.
For you guys out there who are on the fence about these products, let me help you make your decision. The killer bee switch is probably going to save my ass one day when my truck tries to run away. Until that day, it is just the most amazing feeling knowing I can drive it right up to me and press a button on my remote to kill it.
The X Can is one of the least expensive options for exhaust. I am sure it does not do as well of a job as the dominator pipes everyone talks about, but it saved me enough money for a new set of wheels and tires with Daves Daily Deal. Just putting the X Can on my DR has boosted the power 100%. The ass end of the truck now tries to outrun the front end- and that's just fine with me.
The FlySKY remote is great. I bought it and several receivers and now it runs, my DR, my XT, and my Traxxas Jato 3.3. Read the reviews for this remote because they say it all- you get a $300.00 remote for 40 Bucks. It is awesome and once you are used to the buttons it is simple to program and use.
Now I am going to beat up my mail man a little more until I get my belt drive and new wheels/road tires for my DR and once those are on I will start saving my pennies to hop up the XT as well.
