Thanks to the great guys over at Largescale RC my new MCD rally car showed up the other day. I've been working on it for a couple days now, I still got to put the front bumper on and do a few minor things but all in all it's coming along nicely.

The only real thing I'm having trouble figuring out is what color I want to paint the body. I've been sampling different colors the last 2 days and nothing is catching my eye. I was going do red but been there done that kinda thing,.....but I still like some sorta green but not quite sure, obviously I'm going to torcher myself thinking about this.

Well I done working on it for today, be back at it again tomorrow, hope you like the pics.

Loving the pipe mate , looks like you did a great job....

How about gun metal grey base coat with a green strip, evo style.

 That is really nice. i like the pipe.

What kind of body are you planning on running on it?

Thank you sir for the compliment, its funny you mention those colors because I way laying in bed this morning and I was wondering how good a green car would look with a silver stripe. Just might try that.

I've got the Peugeot body for it, its the 510mm, the more and more I look at the body the more I'm liking it.

I managed to get the car started yesterday, didn't drive it just started it and all I can say is WOW! That pipe is going to be amazing I think, great response and not to mention great sound.

Chris

nice rally .......just curious on one thing....how close is the VCR pipe

to the fuel tank edge
There is acutally quite a bit of room between the pipe and the tank. The only thing I'm going to have to do is cut some of the stinger off because it's rubbing on the side of the body, I kinda wish the stinger was pointing down like the pro pipe but I think it will be fine.

If I'm not mistaking don't you have one of these pipes on a MCD MT? Killer truck man!!

have you thought of using a flip paint i done my marder shell in flip paint it looked mint it changed from a nice green into blue then to purple not to hard to paint i backed it up with black looks mint but in the photos on looks green in sunlight its mental love the car mate

the pipe i have on my MCD M/T is the RN magic bullet.....i had it powder coated in a satin black........got another RN to go on my MCD Baja 1000 ultimate but going to polish it and nickle plate it :)

Here are a couple pics of the body all painted up, I think it turned out o.k.

Hey pete...,
did u run the car yet, if YES how does she handle :)

Yes and no, I did run it but only for a couple of minutes to check a few things out, trying to work the bugs out. I can really tell this thing is going to scream, I can't wait.

Very nive looking car!!!

My is almost the same as yours hehehe!

tell me something did you kit came with all alloy parts!?? or did you buy it part by part!??

I liked your radio box mine aparently is the old version of the receiver box...

Shiny roll bars!!! need to do that to mine to...

BUT not to be the bad guy here but as a lot of people told me you should change the air filter!!!!
The "stock" air filter doesn't do the proper job!!!

try UNIFILTER or HPI airfilter!!!

And once again VERY NICE LOOKING car !!!!

That air filter is fine on an on-road car with an outerwares on it. If it were an off-roader playing in the dirt than I would suggest changing, but no problem the way it is.

Thanks for the comments, all the alloy parts on the car came with the car. I understand what your saying about the air filter but this car will probably be 100% on road so with a outerwears filter it should be just fine.

Yoooo!!!

hehehe i use on mine the hpi air filter because i use it on and off-road hehehe

much more fun this way!!! the only thing i need to buy is the gravel kit...

by the way... Looker largescale have it!?? im thinking on buying it hehehe...

And i wolder with the release of the RR v4 will MCD make a V4 for every car they have!?

I thought about buying the gravel kit also but I probably won't, but I know that Largescale RC does have the gravel kits in stock.
