i bought these from phatcat racing, they are about 8 miles from me,,,, great guy,,,, they should work,,, did a drop test from about 3 feet, stock chassis slammed floor with stock setup, his new shock towers ,,car just landed, no chassis slap , nothing,, should extent life of shocks,, since not at a extreme angle,,, and should allow shocks to work like they are suppose too,,,,,, heres a few pics,,,,,,

the parts look well made, the upright positions will definitely improve damping under normal conditions but isn't chassis slap preferable to bottoming out the shocks on big air?

I would think you're putting several g's on your shock seals

dunno if that's a good idea!

The stock shock angle allows for awesome flex. Everything is pro/con. You said the shocks should last longer. While that might be springs will pay the price & will fade sooner. It's just the way it is. You can beef one part up & then there is another weak link. It's like this for most everything. Atv's, cars & trucks. One cool thing about the phat cat set up is the stiffer settings making rides tuneable. First thing I noticed about the xt's was the shock angle. Suspension flex equals better traction on uneven terrain.

when u look at stock setup,, and u watch the shocks move up and down,,, they seem to wanna push in the middle unevenly,,,wanted to push center of shock in towards chassis,,, like trying to bend them in half,,,,good reason seen so many posts on failing seals,, tearing shocks apart in middle etc,,,, having shocks more upright,,,maybe having its pros and cons,,,should help people i would think keep there stock shocks longer,,,,maybe saving a little money,, change springs,, some oil,, go have fun,,,

started to polishheres a half hours worth of work on polishing,,, with a drill in a vice with different pads and compounds,,,, not to bad,,,

well that answered the other question, if you can polish it that well it's a decent grade of alloy
