Hi guys (and girls)

In one of my last post I mentioned I bought some new alloy shocks for my buggy. ( read it here: https://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=7897) Pipeous refered me to the review of BTB who's shock which were simillar to mine on the picture. So in the first place I thought bought something very bad.
Today I received my package from the UK. I opened it and saw 2 packages with each 2 shocks inside. I wrapped it open to see what they look liked. As you can see they look like the ones reviewed by BTB.

Since I didn't know what weight shockoil is being used in these shocks I emptied the shocks. The oil inside, comparing to the oil in BTB, was transperancy and looked like real silicon oil. I dismantled the entire shock:

As you can see, no circlips were use to hold the silicon rubber to prevent leaking: This is a machined cap with thread which is screwed at the bottom of the shock. The springtensioner has, like on BTB's shocks no rubber inside but are firm to the body. The cap has instead of shock bladders an old school silicon rubber ring. I filled the 4 shocks with 30wt shockoil form Team Muchmore (A brand I use since electric touringcar racing). This is 100% pure silicon oil for a high quality.
The bottom ends and cups are nice machined and the cups have a sleeve now. Although they have a sleeve now they won't slide over the shaft to (dis)assemble. I had to machine them a little bit to slide over. no hard deal. They fit perfectly. The bottom ends have to machined a little bit for the front since are difficult to put in the arms holes. So I machined on both side a flat spot of 2mm.
Since I found the springs on the shock very firm I decided to use the the old blue (rear) and purple (front) springs on my new shock since they are softer.
Here are the shocks mounted on the buggy:

The shocks have on each end of it little ball links inserted for 4mm scres. Since the rear top use a 5mm I replaced the screw with a 4mm screw. The hole in the shocktower is 5mm so I made a shim of copper tube (inside 4mm and outside 6mm) and drilled 2 6mm holes in the shocktower and pressed the shims in the hole. The rear shocks fit now perfectly and perform very good:

Are they still sent out with the short spring? I noticed the ones I looked at did not have any adjustment they should because the spring is too short.
