Can I please ask youR opinion

I am looking to purchase a new 1/5 RC car but not sure which make to go for . My budget is up to Eur 1,500.

I am not going to do any rallies , just driving in parks etc for fun. I prefer rally car type bodies

I am based in UK so spare part availability is important- so anyone in UK with experience in buying car parts etc will be appreciated

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated

Thank you all

Where are you in the UK? Do you want 4wd? have you had any largescale experience at all? do you have radio gear?

Out soon is the new range from FG, it includes a short course style BMW X5? It's based on the very reliable FG Leopard 4 off road buggy.

Click on "NEWS" then "FG Modellsport" and just scroll down.

Yes I want 4WD.

I have an old 1/5 Kyosho so have little experience

Thanks for your help

That X5 Mike mentioned looks interesting.

If you are looking at others, then MCD do a rally car. Previously the shells were of actual cars, now it's something like Traxxas - generic without actually being a particular model (other than the Fiesta).

You've a lot more personal experience here than I have Mike, but I do admit that I've read of this in the past - if you're really hammering them that is.
FG's generally just don't go wrong that often - it's just the 'nut behind the wheel' !!

You could feasibly 'off-road 1/5 modify' an on-road FG and put an MCD shell on it ....

You can also get a HPI Racing 5B and get an Escort MkI shell, but that's another thing ...... !!!!!

Hi do you know where to get Escort MKI shell
Thanks

One guy in finland makes them. I heard that mold is broken so it might at least take some time to get one. And you need longer chassis.
