Hello Everyone,

I am new to FG, just ordered one through DDM, should be here in a couple of weeks.

I am brand new to FG and relativley new to large scale in general. Currently running a XRC buggy.

Wondering where I could get some good instructions on how to break in these gassers (first one was already broken in when I got it), I have experience with breaking in nitros but never a gasser.

Also what is a good tuned pipe to use on this. Different types and their advatages. I don't care much about noice but I likt the thought of doing wheelies! :)

What FG did you order? If you want wheelies get a good pipe (I use a fg tuned on one of mine and it will sit on its back legs all day!) Here is how i broke mine in.

Wow. Wouldnt have through breaking in on grass would be a good idea but man does your think go hard! Never seen anything like it. That second vid when you drive it almost out of sight, couldnt believe the acceleration. Man i cant wait! :)

I have been told the DDM top end pipe is awesome so I might hunt down one of them once I have broken this thing in.

Just out of curiosity how many tanks did you spend 'breaking it in' and did you go full throttle (I watched it without sound, at work) :)

Breaking in took three tanks and I hit WOT from the start of the first tank. The reason for this is a few of us went out and with the first pull my car started and also the cord snapped! so save going back home and fixing it and doing all the heat cycles I read somewhere on the forum that people were breaking the mills in by thrashing them from the start so thats what I did ! It hasnt give me no trouble and ticks over like a Timex watch, steady, ultra reliable ,and goes like a rocket!
I have a DDM dom pipe on my MT but ot run it yet ( https://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=6279&page=4 ) see that thread.
I picked this up from Daves for a mere $99.00,they come in all sorts of colours but I wanted red for the theme of the MT. They are all chrome DOM's with a powder coating on them but as they scratched easily DDM were selling them as blemished stock. If you wanted you can easily remove the coating and have them as a chrome Dom pipe.
Turn the sound on and look again,it sounds great.
J.
