New to large scale r/c

Would like to get into large scale off road and have no idea where to start. What would be a good truck to start with and where to buy? Any tracks located in the fredricksburg area of VA.

First figure out what you want. Where you are going to run? What kind of terrain? Basher or racer? How much money you are "willing" to pay? Took me 3 months to figure out what I wanted to do.

I figured it out for now. I ended up getting a Mugen MBX7 1/8 scale, So I went a little bigger then I had before but not exactly large scale.

Monster Truck for bashing...buggy for racing (depends, LOL) There are currently only a few largescale MT's available...buggys and short course trucks are probably what you want to lean to at first. Look at the Bajas first then PM for my personal opinion (I have owned or run almost all the platforms of offroad largescales and I live in VA also)
