thanks guys, looking forward to the first proper run with it.
It has 35 28 on the barrell,which i assume is 35 bore x 28 stroke. That makes it a 27?

Thanks Zippo :) Had my first run at the weekend, and after 10 mins a bolt fell out of the front steering hub, should've gone over it first i know :o
It also sits waaaaaay to high,so i've lowered the rear to this,

As this is my first onroad,i don't have much of a clue on a base setup tbh.
How low do you guys run your chassis? At the moment mine is about 30-40mm off the deck, before i lowered the rear end. Next up is to lower the front to match and move the shocks to the inner top mounts.

Sorry for the crap pic, only had my phone with me.

mines sitting about 10mm at the front and about 8mm at the rear i cant get the chassis level due to the diff raisers so the front will allways sit a little higher but theres enough adjustment to run any setup from 30-40mm to chassis on the deck with mine its all about where you will be running

It's fairly flat where i run,so i'm going for around 15mm to start and work from there.
Does the tread pattern matter much on soft tyres? GRP or PMT?

tread pattern lol i run them till there a slick mate its ok if your racing to use a brand new set for each session but for us bashers theres no point in using brand spanking rubber every run as places we run are very dusty and just bashing around a car park your not going to lay down much rubber in the same places you would on a track so i just run them till they fall off the rim,,allthough the car ive got came with 3 pairs of new grp rubber and that was fun but even so i cained £90 quids worth of tyres in hardly no time at all,,but spinning around sideway and drifting the thing silly don't help

I don't currently have any spares, and one pair are almost bald now. Was going to order some softs to try(plus don't want a tyre exploding to stop my day :)) for the rear. I don't expect them to last long, but i will get a feel for how much grip they give.
Gotta start somewhere :D

or check out ebay from time to time as theres allway used tyres on there its just they are used and a bit hit and miss with alot of crap on there so its a gamble but 2 pairs of new tyres is @60 odd euros plus postage
