i just picked up a 23cc cy baja 5b clone. i sold my 5t clone to buy my rampage.don't get me wrong i love the 4x but i found myself missing the 2wd and the speed. so i snagged a clone buggy with a dominator style pipe shipped.im not real crazy about the orange but the price was right

i lied it not a cy 23 its a clone. ill replace all that orange crap as it breaks lol

Just hit the dollar store and get about 3 or 4 boxes of ritt or tintex dye. an old pot and toss it all in, might have to do 2 pots. I know 2 boxes of black in a pot does a set of rims and a wing nicely. just stir the stuff. so easy and will help the parts. boil water. stir in dye. turn off heat, toss parts in. cover. let sit. stir the parts so any air bubbles get out and touching pieces get a chance to dye. cost you nothing. longer they sit the deeper they dye. stir once every hour or 2... or 3 if ya forget...
 
I was at the lhs today and had a guy make a cheap shot at my truck. Said its a cheap knockoff. Funny thing is dude was there just kicking tires and complaining about how bad rc prices are. My opinion its cheaper then it used to be to get in. Maybe not modify or upgrade lol but just starting out and having something thats fast and relaible is easy to find which 15-20 yrs ago it wasnt the case.


I guess my point is he ticked me off, redcat as far as I cane tell is just another company trying to make it in the rc world, and they are doing it alot cheaper then some others.


Some these knock offs are tough and could give some rc's a run for there money I bet.


Sorry to rant on your thread just ticked me off and I was also curious what other thought or felt about owning knock offs


By the way I say that 5b again and almost pulled out the checkbook... this is so addicting, but i think i will get what you have if i deciede to buy another, i just like it
 
You should have told that nimrod that the Rampage is not a knockoff to begin with.


I wanted a 5T but never got the cash together...maybe later... :D
 
For myself honestly I just like tho body on the 5t, I mean cmon the rampage is 4wd and the hpi isnt, so whos rocking the house now lol:eek:


I did nicely inform him of what it was and he then was very interested in it, espacially when i point out the fact it was 4wd.


Cant fix stupid but you can try to educate them I guess
 
Ask him a knockoff of what? Like clone? Ive never seen another car that I thought the Rampage was a knock off of.


Thats like saying the savage is a knockoff of the tmaxx. Theyre very different but yes both 4wd trucks. He prob spoke w/o thinking and doesn't know about the Rampage. don't take it personally.


Want to change his mind in a positive way, let him drive it :) !!!!
