HEY, ive just gotten my first xbe ( and first car for long time ) overall im pretty impressed with the car as is, ive just put a set of proline desperado rear wheels on with bow tie tyres, it looks damn fine im tinkering with whats left of the front side of the car after a bloody big hit. so, any good hopups/ tips and hints to get the car rapeworthy would be great, and is it worth going to an 8s setup once i get the hang of things?
 
yeah but those things are costly as hell:D what kindof speeds are we looking at. my proline baja rear wheels are looking nice, cant wait to get the new brushes for the suspension pins to actually get a decent run!
 
They are pretty quick once you mod them :) . Mine was clocked at 60mph with the stock esc, but I'm at the limit, so will likely have to step up to the xl2 also for 8s.
 
so i have a decent charger and im getting 25 mins off a set of stock batteries, well usually 10 mins then ive trashed the car but thats not the point lol. should i be gearing this puppy up and go for the castle 2200?
 
I dropped in a CC 1717 in mine today. Really woke up this beast!!! Drilled out the stock motor mount and soldered on 6.5mm connectors to the ESC. I have 7.5" trencher tires with stock gearing and my motor temps stayed in the mid 150's.
