Newbie 7.4v Servo Upgrade + 7.4v Transmitter (3 vs 4 Channel) Questions???

Apologize in advance as I'm relatively new to rc.

Wanting to upgrade the throttle servo and steering servo on my mt v3 7.4v.

Thinking the following combo, but 100% open to veterans recommendations.

Throttle = hi-tech hs-7954sh
Steering = Spektrum S9020
Trasmitter/Receiver = Futaba T 3pv 3-channel T-fhss Radio System

I think I read somewhere the spectrum / hitech combo needs a mounting plate? Is this correct and which plate?

Fyi the spektrum requires the futaba mount I'd it helps someone else.
