I purchased a new Rampage MT with upgrades off the Internet from a hobby shop.It has what "appears"to be a Ramtech kill switch and a GT3B controller. My problem is when I go to apply the brake,it kills the motor.Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks ahead of time

You need to screw in the idle screw on the carb.. This should help you with the issue! Screw it in until you see the mechanism start to move and you should be good to go..

Bert, thanks for the reply,But I have no problem running the truck around, coasting to a stop, and sitting there idling. It kills power when I go to apply brake, even when coming off WOT.I got somthing wrong somewhere.

If the servo moves to the breaking position then its not electrical.... 99% certain your servo is holding the carb open just enough to run/idle but when you apply breaks the butterfly closes to far because the idle screw is not in far enough to let it still run during breaks...do this! Look at the needle side of the carb and look to see if the throttle moves when you hit the breaks. You can do this with the car off.

Bert&Rob....BAM!! I think you nailed it!Too late here to fire it up and give it a whirl (kid's in bed on a school night)But yes the carb was closing quite a bit when the brakes were applied. It took 1 3/4 turns in on the idle to take out that movement...Hoping that cures it...I'll keep you pisted. Thanks Again,Joe

*UPDATE* Yep,you guys defiantly nailed it!Just came in from the boy running a full tank thru it.Never even had to re adjust the idle and could use the brakes and keep er running! So much fun I'm thinking about getting one for ME!...Only thing is the 3rd channel will not kill the car?Any ideas from the experts?

Take a video of what the kill switch is doing when you hit the 3rd channel switch. Does the kill switch work when you turn off the TX radio completely?

HOOOO Boy....here's where I really feel like a dummy. Not sure what you mean by turning off the TX radio? Tx=truck?
