I just got the head on. Torqued the bolts. Loc-tite on bolts. I'm gonna let it dry until tomorrow evening. Hopefully I will see the power this oniels brothers head has. Thanks for yals help. I will post when I start it up.
 
Good news. Started on second pull. I tuned it up. 10 mins of driving in the street and the clutch bell is glowing blue. Then it wasnt performing good. The clutch seems to be engaging though. It started to get sluggish of the line but when it got going it would fly. All gears are tight
 
Are you removing the 2 speed? If so , some of the other users will let you know the items that need to be changed. I think the layshaft needs to be changed. You need a 60mm carrier.
You can use a Firehammer spur shaft too if you cant find a FG one.
Shaft - DTXC8897
14t gear - DTXC8891

You can keep an eye out for them. They seem to be on ebay quite a bit:

You can also find the alloy ones to use with the plastic gears on DDM.
Mine is an old CNR one. CNR does not make 1/5 scale stuff anymore.:(
 
I saw that but it says elcon and elcon always scares me because it seems every time you buy one part you need another to make it work. If no one knows here DDM will be able to tell you right off. They are a FG distributer and could try it on one of there trucks before you buy it.
 
I see. It says to run a z2 gear. I will call them and see. Thanks for the replys on both of my threads. I think with the stock gearing and new clutch spring it will come alive. It won't wheelie and I know they can. The neighbors say that it can't. Lol
