Newbie to gas engines / carb question.....

I ran my chimera SR today and just wondering if its ok that the carburator has fuel in the bubble as far as storing it ? Or does it need to be empty to avoid any damage etc.....?

Short term is not an issue but no carb should have fuel left in it over a long period of time.
The gasoline turns thick and gums up the diaphragms etc.
