i have a km baja and the brakes don't stop the baja at all no matter how much i tighten the little black thing next to the brake setup. what could be wrong and what should i look for? i don't want a hydrolic setup just fix the one i have and the servo works good.

check your cam and the brake shaft position, if the shaft is to far in the cam it wont pull as much and its a shorter pull, so you may have to repostion the the shaft out a bit more to get a longer pull and you should see some difference,
or by chance the shaft didnt break and you just reused the broken brake shaft?

i took it apart and the upper rear plate has a crack were the brake set comes up through the hole on the left side of the hole. so i guess when the brake is engaged it opens up some not allowing the brakes to sqeeze together right. i am going to buy the thicker upper plate and i hope that solves the problem.

I had a similar problem the other day at the park, my Terminator would not stop no matter what i did. I looked at the brake setup and found out that my middle disk fin was missing so no matter how much the servo would put pressure it would not stop.
