No breaking power!

I think I know why my disc isn`t spinning. It looked like it had melted together with the plastic gear carrier. Yeasterday I got i free from the gear carrier and it was spinning again. However, it is not running smoothly anyway since the brake disc looks crooked (not round). So for every rotation it brakes the car a little bit. After I tried to run the car just for a few meters it got stucked again

So now it looks like I have to take it apart and change the disc :( I tried yeasterday to take apart the gears and gearcarrier but the gearcarrier is stuck (due to the small gear next to the diff)

You can keep the small gear on. Just remove the whole assembly. If I still had my FG's I'd take some pics for you but they are all gone.

Now I finally got the gearcarrier off the car :) Mounted the new disc + new alloy square and I got my brakes back for half a tank :( After driving for about 30 min I lost braking power again. Now it was the alloy square that had moved away from the new disc. I will try to use locktite on the screw to see if that helps.

Now I have a new question (sorry but I am worthless when it comes to this :clown: ): How far inside the disc should the alloy square be? Should the whole square be inside the disc? I only get half the flat side of the square (see the black arrow in the picture) to fit inside the disc. Is this enough?

awsome!! make sure you tight'n the brake hub on the flat part of the shaft. you are corect with the loc-tite. you wont have a problem getting the blue loc-tite off, but it will never come unlose. that flanged part of the hub should be snugged up againts the bearing or gear carrier
