Financial crisis , in Greece , put all projects in ... ice , but i can play with materials from the past .
I think that is a good idea to make parts from future projects ,as steering hubs.
I need a way to make these parts easy but special. So you can see it. Home made , always.

prototype

hot metal

...and the hub

and ready to race

Thanks guys.

Alan :
A pocket size lathe was my first one , 25 cm centre to centre , present of my wife , 23 years ago and still works perfect .

Trebor :I make plans , in my mind , all time so I need a little
time to make these plans , ....parts.

.... at the same spirit ( no money ... ) ,my new part for future projects.

Engine mount , clutch housing , deceleration , axle with 1 (chain) gear to rear drive and 1 (belt) gear to front drive .

Very very nice work indeed.:rock-on::2guns:
just out of curiosity i would like to know the strength of these parts as i use to have some cast alloy parts and they would snap off as cast alloy dose seam to be weaker than solid cnc alloy
Do you in anyway treat them ?

Solid alloy is always stronger than cast. For parts like arms , you must use only solid alloy becouse you need elasticity . Cast alloy, most of times , has not enough elasticity (in a crash test ) for chassis and arm use but it is supernormal for hubs .

I am always use high quality alloy in my cast parts and it is important for the strenght of final prodact.

Hi Al,
Projects are in dormancy.

I complete the desig ,papers only , of project's 3 suspension (interaction between front and rear axles) and I 'll start making parts ( hope ) soon.

Nice Vass.. Is it an air compressed shock? I have been looking to make a set of these for my baja for quite some time. Let me know how it works out for you..
