Well I got this new Baja, and I am having some problems with power. I put in a new radio and servo so that I could run it with a digital controller. I think the problem is that the server arm is not pushing the throttle rod all the way so that the motor is not opening up.

I think this because when i give it full throttle it revs up, but i can push the rod in more, and I can really make the car scream.

Sorry if I am not being clear, i will try and get some pictures and get back to you with more information.

Any ideas in the mean time would be very helpful. Thank you.

also you may need to adjust the throatle linkage stops. when my rtr was new. it would only open the throatle about 1/2 way, after a quick check and adjustment it started to open fully.

also if your running the stock exhaust can and extender, it ll choke down the motor a bit. buy and install a decent tuned pipe and your motor will run like a different motor all together.

Sounds good. I am going to check the throttle linkage, and will check the servo percentage. The radio is a Spectrum 3.0.

I will let you guys know how it goes. Talk to you later.

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to update this thread to let you know that I got it working. I just needed to adjust the throttle linkage arm. I slid it up a bit and it has tons of power now that it never had before!!! I guess I missed that simple adjustment in my eagerness to get it working.

I am going to try and remove the pipe and take out the stuff in the muffler and see if I can get more out of it. I know I will go with a tuned pipe but I haven't gotten bored with what I got yet :)

Bye for now

It will only make it louder not give it power. Just remove the end and run it straight out the end of the can. The only way I got more power out of the stock can was to enlarge the exhaust pipe out the back to a 5/8" or larger.

Ok I see the difference. I am convinced. Nice work on the videos!! Thanks for showing this to me.

This will give me something to do tell i get bored and upgrade to a tuned pipe.

Hi all,
Just got our new Baja 5A today and we are having trouble with signal. It is weak can only reach it from about 5 metres away if that and it sounds like someone else is controlling it. Please help as new users
