hey everybody.....had the car out running up and down my street and all of a sudden i lost all electronics....battery for electronics box is fully charged and yet i have no response from any servos....failsafe wont even close throttle when i turn the transmitter off. Any ideas....could the servo just die outta no where like that though they were working just fine 2 seconds before it died ???

the stock servos go bad fast if you have an old servo plug it in your receiver and see if the radio and receiver still work

If this is stock radio gear, I would try and bind it again. If that doesn't work, it might be the switch. Plug the battery directly into the receiver, bypassing the switch and see if that helps. If that doesn't help, I'd assume the receiver was bad. It would be quite the coincidence if all of the servos died at exactly the same time, but it's possible.

ok did a little more testing with the electronics and came to discover that the only thing working is my throttle servo when plugged into a receiver from one of my old R/C cars.....actually the steering servo seems to be jammed....i cant even turn the wheels by hand????? strange and the receiver has the LED light lit that says is communicating with the transmitter but i get nothing from the servos

Hi Jimmy B here!

I had the same problem with my Dunerunner

I sent the stearing servo back to Redcat and the replaced it for free!

I also hooked the batt up backwards a burned out my rec and I sent it also to redcat and the replaced it

Good LucK!!!

The batt has that small plug and I was not paying attention and hooked it up red to black

Sure did smoke the rec

A REAL BAD DAY MY BAD:eek:

if you hook (by chance) the battery connector backwards,

many things can happen.even if you just hook it backwards for 1sec.

1) blow out that channel, servo wont respond..(internal transistor).

2) as said smoke the unit (fried diode) and burn't part of the board.

most receivers can handle 4volts and be crossed and still have a chance that the user didn't do nothing wrong.

but also most drive them at 6volts

it's hit and miss, a servo and or 2 or even all 3 can die at once..(seen it).
