It ran fine last time out. Just been sitting there and now it wont start. First coulpe of pulls it wanted to fire then nothing. Pulled the plug and checked it. The plug was wet and dirty. I cleaned it up and it fired right up but ran really rough or rich. Gave it gas and let it rev for a few secs. Let go and it died. Now it wont start again. ?

okay. I checked the plug again and its wet. I got strong spark. I did notice the fuel in the tank was more brown then usual. Its usually a red/pink color with the oil i use. So i pulled the plug and drained the gas tank. Pulled the pull start several times to push all the fuel out of the spark plug hole. Gas from can which is good and cleaned plug again. Fired up much better but still runs rough. It actually smokes almost black instead of blue. I throttle it up and let it sit there. I constanly play with the throttle to try and clean out anything. But it dies again on a throttle burp. I go to fire it again and it will try to fire for a few times then nothing again. Almost like its flooding itself out. I haven't touched the tune in almost a year.

Clean the air filter, re oil it, reset the needles to factory with a new plug. Fire her up, let it warm up some and retune her.

yeah but just a couple of months ago it fired right up and ran great. I guess it has been cooler lately.

im going to check on it more tomorrow. Re-tune and get it to burn the gas out. I added sta-bil when i filled the tank up last cause i knew it would be a while before it was used again.

okay got it running today and it ran good. I suppose it was bad gas. I still had to clean the spark plug in order for it to fire. I started the low needle at 1 turn and ended right back where it was. Ran about for 5 mins and lost the battery pack on the truck. Then i guess the truck flooded again. Im going to do a full tune up and see what happens. Ive never had the truck just flood so easily.

i think you have a bad spark plug i would go to napa parts store and have them get you the same number ngk how much 2 stroke oil do you put in a gallon of gas and what type of do you use :D

i aiming towards a plug, had my xt out it ran great shut it down and wouldn't start again, thought the ring went away since the plug looked ok just a lil wet had great spark, just took my butane torch to the plug to dry it out, and it fired first try.......
