Was bashing today, after a jump MT landed and I lost movement. Engine will speed up when I hit throttle, but no movement of truck. I checked spur gears, they are fine. Could it be broken clutch spring? Any other ideas?

if it broke a clutch spring it would stay moving. check dogbone pins and even diff cups maybe the impact was bad enough to break one

wow thats just weird same thing happened to me today. But i was not jumping just running on a grass field and all of a sudden the truck just would not move. I thought i melted the gears so i pulled off the gear cover and the gears are fine. Pull the throttle the gears turn but the truck does not move.

Packed everything up and went home assuming the clutch is fried. I have not taken it apart yet cause i was to pissed to start breaking it down I will sleep on it and tear it down tomorrow morning and take a look at the clutch.

When i put it on a bucket and pull the throttle the wheels will move but as soon as the wheels have some resistance put to them they don't move (meaning putting the truck on the ground). I can here the clutch screaming when i hit throttle. So I think in mine the clutch is engaging but slipping hard core but this is all theory untill i break it down tomorrow.

agreed, check the dogbone pins and diff cups... happened to me first 2 min of ever running my tt, had a broken dogbone pin, fixed mine with a 5/16 or 5/32 drill bit but a 4x20 pin works. now i have moo modded diff cups and mcd axles.

It's the dogbone pin. WTF. Fell out of left front and rear wheel. That's a real bad design, why not use fixed pin on dogbone like 5b. What are you guys doing to hold these pins in?

do the pre run check list, green lock tite or modded diff cups or cat 5 diff cup rings.

note the covered diff cups... nice for high horsepower applications.

note the tt on the left has mcd axles (they're awesome), the mt has stock v1 axles, both have modded v1 diff cups on the diffs and cat 5 cup rings on the outside.

here you can see the cat 5 diff cup rings on the center cups also.

also search "dogbone pins" and you'll see several options to get you going right away.
