Is it common for these Redcat Rampage MT's to make a lot of rattling noise? Or do I have a clutch/gear going out? (Brand new)

No it should not make alot of rattling noise remove your gear cover and check the screws on your gears they should not be loose and the gears should not wobble also.

There seems to be some oil in the gear casing. It seem like all the gears have a little play with them and can wobble. However the bolts are extremely tight???

the gears need to have very little wobble in them at all!!!!!!!!!
Ok, then I guess the noise is normal. As they have a little wobble on them, and the bolts are extremely tight. Definitely where the noise comes from though.

I own an MT as well and it also makes alot of noise while moving(compared to an 1/8 scale truggy) I had mine for a while and haven't had any problems with the gears. ive noticed the gear that is connected to the brakes wobbles o so sightly, but also on mine the is an 1/8" of slide on that gear, brake setup that causes a kind of clucking sound on the center differental when i brake hard. as for the other gears, they are rock solid.
