was preping truck for new parts to show up. well found more wrong.


1 on off switch melted.


2 rx(stock) melted


3 some wires close to melted.


4 found out center diff grub screw was lost


5 adding billet moter mount and broke 2 allen wrenches.


not my day.


going to up grade tx/rx if any localy ava.


what brands models should i look into/ stay away from.


on a budget also.

spektrum dx3e. 3 channel fully adjustable. $99 includes tx rx and a standard size servo. i love mine and for the money it is hard to beat. i have had mine for a year now and never a single glitch. and its nice and light(only 4 aa batterys)

They use a ton of locktite from the factory on the gearplate and bottom motor mount bolts. I learned to use a small blowtorch to heat them which loosens the locktite. Othewise you'll strip the hex or bend an allen every time.
 
Bensonly I put the billet motor mount on also and the holes were off alittle I opened the holes alittle with a drill bit and when I went to bolt it up iIstripped the allen head bolts like you said.
