I just got my self a second hand hpi baja have had it out for the first time problem is it wont tick over it just wont's to go full throttle i had to hold it back or i would have lost it can any one help thank you

Not sure what you mean about only wants to go full throttle.
Are you saying that the idle is too high and it wont idle slowly?
Have a video we could see?

Check your carb settings. They may be set a bit lean? They should be about 11/2 out from bottom each. You an adjust them from there.

1.5 on idle

if you start the engine and its going at full throttle and you cant get it to go slower. sounds like you might ahave a leak and you may want to check your engine bolts. also make sure you gas lines are on the right way
 
Ticking over

ok got it to tick over ok but now if i try to give it some gas i only get half power it is not reving up fully.........
 
carb setting

carb settings are all to F..k tryed messing about with them but had no luck think i have messed all the setting up tryed
 
No worries mate. Turn off the engine. Just screw the H and L needle all the way in (clockwise). Then unscrew (counter clockwise) them the H 1 1/2 and the L 1 1/4. Much easier than nitro.

Just keep checking you plug for color. Should be a nice brown color. Too dark = too rich and too light = too lean.

Thanks m8 wiil give it a go hopefully all will go well
 
When you turn the screws all the way in be VERY careful as if you tighten them too much you will mess up the needle and seat. LIGHTLY bottom them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
