Hi All,

Finally had the ** won't start prob ** taking care of. Now works starts great.

( was only bad needle setting ).

But when I run it with the shell on, the radio bips for overheat at about 215-217 degrees. Without the shell no problems it runs and runs...

After a few donuts in the dirt, and about 30 minute running. The Ramp wouldn't move any more.

Pulled the gear cover off, and all the 4 gears are ok. I didn't go any further into the prob.

Question; What do you guys think would be the problem?

Thank you.

Make sure the brakes aren't binding and work down the line to the main crown then to the diff's could be a bad bearing. Or maybe the brakes have somthing jammed between the pad and the rotor.

ya, i would check the brakes first. their is 2 small set screws that ride next to the disc. mine were too far in out of the box. most of the time if the diff goes it just blows up inside and free spins. its tuff for stones to get lodged in the center gears but could still happen

still haven't find the prob.

HI, just took everything apart, i couldn't take off only the brake shaft, the bearing is stucked on the shaft. so i had to take the whole gear set off and engine to take it apart....

on page 8 on right side at very bottom of pdf owner manual 2. (second way gear assembly) bearing # 50070 is stucked on the shaft , cant get it off..the brake cam holds its place with an allen screw on top, it was stripped from manufacturer, i had to drill it. so i ordered 50037 cam assembly.

50108 the square lock spacer the holds on the shaft was stucked, i had to punch it out,

On part # 50075 the sleeve that goes on the shaft, is srewed on by 2 allens, the first one is stripped in ( then it's me thats stuck now lol ).

So with all of this, i still haven't find the problem.

Are all the bearings usually stucked on the shafts ? Do you guys use a puller to remove those ?

I ordered the center diff. aluminum mounts.. Will I run into stuck bearings again?

Thanks

Here is what i am trying to explain

The bearing is stucked, and so is the sleeve on this shaft...

Omg what a nightmare sound like one of my teardowns if you can move the bearing back a little and take some emory cloth to the shaft it will slide right off when it rides on the shaft it leaves a little grove and its hard to remove bearing after that don't forget little chinese men with very strong ninja loctite put these together

hey popsy. it sounds like you stripped many screws on this rig. the redcat harware isnt the "best" and to make matters worse they for some reason used red loc-tite on some hardware. we like the extra effert but wish they would have left out the red stuff.. i found that it helps if you replace your tooling with fresh allen keys. mainly the small ones.. still wondering how your making out on this project
