This is what Steve has said about it.
NW Bash in Kendal
Ok guys i've just got the latest for the Kendal Event, this is what Steve has said.
So come on guys who's up for it and then we can plan how we go and if we want to camp, b+b or kip in the cars etc.
I'm in for the Friday 13th through to the Sunday 15th.
This will be my first event so i don't know what happens at them, so look after me fellas...
north west baja / largescale event official dates
too all you guys on the forum who have been watching the previous threads about the new event to take place in cumbria ( kendal), just to let you all know that the official dates for the very first event will take place from the 12TH - 15TH OF MAY. this event is on the outskirts of kendal and only 7 miles from the m6 jct 36 .
if you have ever attended any rc demon event you will know what a great weekend they where, i am hopeing to achieve the same feel to my events... a relaxed weekend for all you guys out there who want nothing more than to rag your pride and joy around for 4 days.
there will be a large track for everyone to use , simililar to the rc demon track in size , the land itself is quite smooth but with few undulations or natural jumps ( so hopefully with land owners permission i will see if i can at least put a jump or two in or a table top )
the track will be ready and open for use from the time you arrive till the time you leave.
there is masses of space there for camping and a place too park vehicles. running water on tap and portallos for the essential functions lol.
i will be putting up a marquee ( 20 x 10ft ) for anyone too use.
i have organised a friend of mine ( barby pete ) to bring his bbq along , so there will be cheap barbys on friday and saturday night.
i am in the process of trying to organise some timing gear from a local club ( not sure if i will get it but worth a go ).. if i do manage to get the timing gear then i will be arranging some races over the 4 days..i am thinking also about organising a 2.4hr lemans style team race. any ideas welcome.
ticket prices are as follows..
4 day attendance £25
3 day attendance £20
2 day attendance £15
the prices above are all based on tickets being bought prior to arriving at the event. if you turn up without a pre paid ticket then the price will be as follows.
4 day attendance £27.50
3 day attendance £22.50
2 day attendance £17.50
obviously i would prefer to have all attendees buy tickets prior to the event so that i can put in place the essential things ( like toilets... don't want to organise just 1 toilet and 200 people turn up on the day for the event lol ) if i have the majority of people buy tickets prior to the event i will be so much better organised... paypal will be the best option as this will protect your money in the event that i need to cancel the event.
tickets will go on sale from the 1st of april 2011
well i think thats about it guys, i realy do hope that you show your support for this event, and would love to hear any thoughts or feedback you may have. hope to hear from you all real soon .
thanks for reading.. steve
